I am Mia Fry. I am a writer of fantasy, science fiction and romance. While I have a BTEC in Visual Arts and am currently studying Graphic Arts at De Montfort University, I have always had a passion for storytelling and creative writing. 

 

We all use fiction to escape, explore and educate. In adult life there is little to compare to the comfort of listening to a good audiobook on the journey to a long and tedious shift. But many stories ask questions. They may explore a world in which the line between human and machine is messy and complicated or search a small world made up of lost love and second chances and from a young age you might have been told stories of strangers replaced by monsters and wolves to keep you safe.

 

Since I could dream I have always been writing, drawing and creating. I love to build worlds and characters, they run through my head, turning over furniture and blasting music in between my ears. And worlds bleed out my fingers onto lined paper on the bus, napkins in restaurants and bars and smiling back at me in the margins of my maths homework. 

 

The stories help me. It is a lovely symbiotic parasite, it soothes my mood and is an outlet for energy. My dream is to inspire as others have inspired me with their own. 

 

Writing is what keeps me inside but lets me see the world.

 

Most of my novels are written through my speech to text software program, DRAGON, which helped immensely with the writing process.
